Presidents Notes Feb. 2011
Hello to all,
With the start of the New Year brings a close to yet another season in the Rhode Island woods. I hope everyone had a safe and successful hunting season. Please feel free to share any stories or photos of the past season with us. We would love to include them in our next newsletter.
Our focus has changed from scouting and pursuing a buck of a life time to continuing to build a strong and united organization that will continue to fight for the right of the sport we all love. We look to continue our partnership with DEM and other groups around the state to enhance hunting regulations that benefit us as hunters while protecting the environment that we so much cherish. Your support is needed more than ever to tackle the challenges that are laid out in front of us. That being said we would love to see our members at our monthly meetings on the last Tuesday of every month at Narragansett Bow Hunters. Any input from our members as to what direction you would like the club to go is greatly appreciated.
The UBRI Annual Banquet at Nino’s on 446 Tiogue Ave. Route 3 Coventry Rhode Island is coming up on MARCH 19th 2011. Doors will open at 4:00pm and dinner will be served at 6:00pm. Tickets are $25.00 and can be purchased from Ed Klosowski 294-4276, Dick 226-3224, Jeremy 256-4248, or Jim 234-1915. Please call and reserve your tickets today. There will also be bear raffle tickets sent out thanks again to Shawn from Pehqey Outfitters.
Please remember to get those big game cards in by March 1 2011 so you can receive your plaque. Please purchase your tickets now so we will have a accurate count to order meals.
